My own vampire, this shadow I cannot fear It is with love and sorrow that I do follow Nightly, this song shrouds my soul Nightly, death of my hand takes its toll I do succumb to this constant drum With melancholy, I watch them die "the other day, I looked away when you walked by" I breath her song and the flame burns long Now, when night is cold and full of life I am her prisoner and her knife Until the day that my life falls away ********** A poem based on a short story that I'm writing, which is based on old greek mythology, adapted for the modern world. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
